36 studios danced across the 1pm and 5pm shows on Sunday 26 July 2026 at River Gum Performing Arts Centre. Thank you to every dancer, teacher, family and sponsor who came along.

The amount raised for Make-A-Wish Australia is still being counted. It goes up here as soon as it's in.

Welcome to Dance Aid since 2014

Jess Solomon (Principal of Backstage Dance Academy) established Dance Aid in 2014 to raise much needed funds for child related charities.

In July 2019, Jess passed the event over to Sarah Oliver (Principal of Beat 87 Dance Academy & Pointe Perfection Podiatry).

Dance Aid brings together studios from all over Melbourne and Victoria as they showcase their talent and raise funds for a wonderful cause. You can expect a fantastic day of entertainment, fun and giveaways, where dancers join together in a non-competitive and supportive environment.

For studios

Bring your studio to Dance Aid 2027

Dance Aid isn't a competition. Dancers from different studios share the stage in a supportive environment, and every routine helps raise money for Make-A-Wish Australia.

Tell us about your studio and which show suits you, and we'll be in touch.

  • Music

    Music and routines are to be no longer than 5 minutes. Please email your music to us by the music deadline.

  • Studio representative or teacher

    Each studio must have a representative or teacher present on the day. This person must accompany the students at all times, to ensure that all performers are looked after and safe.

    Please email us the name and contact number of your studio representative for the day.

    Please ensure that your representatives have a valid Working with Children Check.

  • Dressing rooms

    When you arrive, please find a spot together with your troupe in one of the three dressing room areas.

    Unfortunately, we cannot have male parents or guardians in the dressing rooms. Please drop and go, and limit the dressing rooms to essential people only. It is up to the studio owner to ensure that whoever is in the dressing room with your troupe has a valid Working with Children Check.

    We have a designated male dressing room with signage.
